Hunting Trips
Fully Guided Ontario Bear Hunting Trip
From our Ontario bear hunting camp, located on Pickerel Lake, north of Kenora, we offer a fully guided Black Bear Hunting Trip. It is a six-day bear hunt. Our black bear hunting territory is large, exclusive and is known for its high quality bear habitat. It has the highest density of Black Bears in the northwest region, with some color phased bears.
This Bear hunting area has lots of streams, small lakes, plenty of brush for cover and abundant food sources for bears. There are old logged areas that have grown up with cover and provides great berry habitat including blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and cherries. We have plenty of active sites that we pre-bait long before our first bear hunters show up. With our bear hunting area being this large and diverse in terrain, we take a variety of vehicles to get to the bear hunting sites including ATV, Truck or Boat.
We have scouted different bear hunting sites in our Bear Management Area and set up our bait sites that will attract the largest majority of bears. Our bear hunting guides are hunters as well and when the bait sites are being selected they are put in productive spots that the guide would set up on if they were doing the hunting themselves. Also, being a bear hunting outfitter with an exclusive area, we can guarantee a high success rate as we determine the amount of hunters we put through our area during the hunting season.
Our professional guide will take you to the stand to get you set up and then will pick you up at dark. We have a variety of permanent, portable and two person stands to hunt from. If you or someone in your group is of larger status please let us know in advance so we can make other arrangements for stand positioning or type of stands. We offer field dressing, trophy care and freezer service as part of the main camp bear hunting package. Our guides have been in the business for a long time and are professional and courteous.
We take groups from two to four hunters per six day guided bear hunt. We have five groups of bear hunters only through our main base for the entire season so you should book early as we fill up fast.
After you have harvested your Bear, you can relax and fish for Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Pike and Jumbo Perch right here at the camp. We have boats, motors and fuel for you to use while you are at our camp for your Bear Hunt. If you are coming later in the season there is the option of doing a little ruffed grouse hunting as season starts around September 15th.
Most Bear Hunters start their day out fishing in the mornings, then come in for lunch and relax a little before they go out in the afternoons to their stand.
Our Ontario Bear Hunting package include guide, deluxe accommodations at our camp, trophy care, freezer service, use of our boats and motors with gas. Not included in the price are Taxes, Hunting License, Export Permit, and Fishing License.
