Well, the snow has gone all except for some spots that have thick cover. We have been out to the spots we are hunting and all is good for the return of the spring hunt which starts in a couple of weeks. We haven’t seen any bears out and about yet as the grass has not started to get green and the bears need the green grass to blow the bowel plug they have to hibernate over the winter. Frogs are out in the little mud holes and are a sure sign spring is here. Also the loons are calling quite a lot welcoming spring back

We just had a spring bear hunt cancellation for May 25th to June 1st. We can take a group of two to four hunters. Great fishing is included with boats and motors included in your trip. Please call or email if interested

Here is NW Ontario we’ve had some unusual spring like weather that has brought a few bears out of hibernation. This is most likely due to their dens being flooded out when able 0 temperatures have hung around. They will crawl back in and go back to sleep once cooler temps arrive.

We had a great fall bear hunting season. The last week was a little warm but that didn’t stop the hunters from being successful. We harvested a few big bears that had so much fat on them, we were surprised at the amount. We are now taking booking for the spring and fall bear hunting dates and still have a couple spots available

We’ve had a very successful bear hunt so far this spring. Lots of bears around, rut is about to start and lots of activity

We have been busy getting stands and other jobs done so we can have a great Ontario bear hunting season. We’ve already been seeing lots of sign while we’ve been out and about.

Canada has removed the vaccine mandate for crossing the border into Canada. You no longer need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19. They have also made the ArriveCAN app optional.

The Ontario fall bear hunt is coming fast and starts August 15th. Back at the beginning of July we’ve started baiting for the bear hunt. We’ve seen lots of bear sign out there as we had two seasons of no bear hunts due to Covid-19 lockdowns of the border. Blueberries along with other berries are in full swing. Should be an awesome Ontario fall bear hunt this year.

There has been some changes to the Canada arrival requirements starting March 23rd, 2022. You now do not need to have a pre-arrival negative covid PCR test or a rapid clinic/pharmacy administered covid test to cross the border. You still are required to have both shots of Covid vaccine and the ArriveCan app still needs to be filled in before arrival. There will still be random testing at the border.
