2022 Canada Arrival Requirement updates

There has been some changes to the Canada arrival requirements starting March 23rd, 2022. You now do not need to have a pre-arrival negative covid PCR test or a rapid clinic/pharmacy administered covid test to cross the border. You still are required to have both shots of Covid vaccine and the ArriveCan app still needs to be filled in before arrival. Please check out the Government of Canada website for updates https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/exemptions

There will still be random testing at the border.

Winter Hibernation

Looks like its starting out to be a great winter for the bears. Hopefully with lots of snow to keep them protected from wolves, they will come out of dens in spring in great shape. We should have an awesome Ontario bear hunt

They must have documentation for vaccines, a covid-19 test within 72 hours of crossing the border and have a quarantine plan available for border agents. CBSA will be doing random testing. Guests will also need to have forms from ArriveCan app or website filled out before you arrive at border.

2020 Hunting Season update

To our Valued Hunting Guests and Friends;

This year has not started out too well with the onset of the coronavirus across the world, however, on a bright note, we have no cases of covid-19 in our area.

We are planning for a hunting season this year, and are constantly in contact with border officials and the Canadian Government as to when the border will be reopened between the USA and Canada so we can proceed with supplying a great relaxing vacation to our guests..

Our hunting area will be ready to go as soon as the border re-opens and Greg has already been out cleaning up fallen trees and such.

We will work with all our guests to reschedule dates, either to later in the season, or if not available, the following year.

Stay safe.

Your hosts,

Kim & Greg

August 29th to September 5th at Fly-in Outpost

August 29th to September 5th

September 12th to 19th.

These hunts are for groups of two and up to 4 hunters.  You will be the only ones in camp for the six day hunt.  Please call or email us if interested.

Successful 2019 Bear Hunting Season

Another successful Ontario bear hunting season has passed.  This past year we are 100% for seeing and harvesting multiple black bears.  The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has set out an allocation for all businesses who have a Bear Management Area.  We had 3 Pope & Young Bears and one Boone & Crocket.  A lot of bigger bears were seen this past season.  Possibly they had a really good winter as coast on females were very thick and healthy.  The maps seemed to have less fat and thinner coats.
